This picture relates to the book because the people in new pretty town are exactly like barbie. They are all exactly the same, just like every barbie doll thats made.
Their main purpose in life is to have fun. The Uglies strive to be one of the pretties, to have fun, thus saying they pretty much want to be like a barbie doll.

The book Uglies connects to the book The City of Ember. These book connect because the main characters in both books run away from their community to go find a better world than their own.

I'm Reading the book uglies for my novel study, its by Scott Westerfeild. The cover  of the book gives me a clue that the book is about some sort of surgery. I think that in the end of the book, the main character will achieve their goal and will be happy.
